Mac Miller left his entire fortune to his parents following his tragic and sudden death earlier this month, it’s been reported.
According to court documents seen by The Blast, the 26-year-old set up a trust back in 2013 and also wrote up a will, in which he named his folks as trustees. A lawyer, named as David Byrnes, has been added as an administrator of the estate.
His brother, Miller McCormick, is also reportedly a trustee and administrator.
The document doesn’t disclose how much Miller’s estate is worth, but it’s been reported that he had a net worth of around $9 million (£6,885,990m) at the time of his death.
Miller, real name Malcom McCormick, was pronounced dead at his LA home on 7 September. A cause of death is yet to be determined as the medical examiner awaits toxicology results.
Miller’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande broke her silence following his unexpected death yesterday when she took to social media to write: “I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will. I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it. We talked about this. So many times.
“I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long.
“Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved.
“I hope you’re okay now. Rest.”
As well as posting a video of them together.
Elsewhere tributes poured in from across the music industry with Missy Elliot, Liam Gallagher and Snoop Dogg all taking to social media to pay their respects.
